SanDisk USB Drives Going EOL and Recommended Replacements

Sandisk USB drives are sunsetting.

Some bad news: Many of SanDIsk's popular low-capacity slider-style drives are going EOL (End-Of-Life). For a variety of reasons, the big manufacturers like SanDisk have chosen to focus on higher-capacity flash products.

Some good news: We offer outstanding, high-quality alternatives with GoRAM.

So let's review.

16GB Models are EOL
SanDisk is discontinuing all low-capacity offerings. Soon the lowest capacity product available will be 64GB. These 16GB models are quickly being phased out:

•    SDCZ60-016G-B35 Cruzer Glide USB 2.0 - already unavailable
•    SDCZ600-016G-G35 Cruzer Glide USB - limited supply, high pricing
•    SDCZ48-016G-U46 Ultra USB - limited supply, high pricing

32GB Models with Unstable Supply are Sunsetting
With continued chip shortages and 16GB models going EOL there is tremendous supply chain pressure on the 32GB Cruzer Glider and Ultra Slider models. This is causing sunsetting, with spotty availability and big price increases. These models are impacted and also likely to go EOL soon as SanDisk continues to consolidate their lineups and shift focus to higher capacity products.

•    SDCZ60-032G-B35 Cruzer Glide USB 2.0
•    SDCZ600-032G-G35 Cruzer Glide USB
•    SDCZ48-032G-U46 Ultra USB

Recommended Replacements
Since September 2025, virtually all SanDisk products have seen extraordinary price increases and limited supply as they reposition their business to pursue higher profit markets. We recommend all customers test other brands, where supplies are readily available and pricing is more stable.

Many of our customers have been moving to the GoRAM Slider USB drives. Form, fit and function are very similar to the SanDisk Cruzer and Ultra models, with great performance specifications and better pricing.

Click the links to visit our website for pricing and data sheets:

•    GoRAM Slider GRU30SL-016G: Volume pricing as low as $6.30 each. (Compare to equivalent SanDisk models priced above $10.)
•    GoRAM Slider GRU30SL-032G: Volume pricing as low as $8.35 each. (Compare to equivalent SanDisk models priced above $11.90.)

You may also consider moving up in capacity if you want to stay with SanDisk. Moving from 16GB to 32GB may help for the time being, but eventually a move to 64GB will be necessary.

Let us know how we can help you plan for these changes. We have GoRAM samples available for testing, and more brands available for consideration. Let's discuss your requirements and navigate these changes together.
